If anyone is out riding in the area I would appreciate you sending me an email to report where you rode and how it was.

Wow, where did the winter go? The season has officially closed. This season has turned out to be a total bust. With only a handful of days of rideable snow this has been the worst snowmobile season I have ever experienced. Hopefully next season will be much better. Enjoy your summer.
Received a lot of rain before it turned to snow. Trails on top of the hill have minimal snow with ice base but not enough to really ride. Lyman Run Park trails and forest roads have decent snow coverage with ice base as long as you stay at higher elevations. Pipeline along Billy Lewis is rideable but watch for ruts, looks like someone drove a truck on the trail.
Rain and Snow mixed is in the forecast but only for Northern Potter. Will have to wait and see how much rain is mixed in. Please respect our landowners and stay off the club trails until there is adequate snow.
Snow Fest has been cancelled for 2012. Thank you to everyone who tried to make it happen. Maybe 2013 will be a better year.
We have received a few inches of snow but the trails are still not rideable. It’s not looking good as spring steadily approaches. Please respect our landowners and stay off the club trails until there is adequate snow.
Snow Fest has been postponed again to February 17, 18, 19.
The rain and warm temps today pretty much wiped out the trails. Please respect the landowners and stay off the trails until there is adequate snow.
Went for a ride from near the club. Trails are very marginal up here on the hill but if you head south there is some pretty good riding from Rock Run Road and south to Black Forest area. Just try to avoid high traffic areas, because they are shot.
Received a few more inches of snow overnight. Have about 6 inches total on the ground but it is very light powdery snow. With no base you will cut right through to bare ground. Conditions are marginal at best. There is no grooming being done.
After warm temperatures and rain early in the week snow is in the forecast once again. With no base and only a few inches of light powdery snow on the ground the trails remain unrideable. We will need a good wet snow to be able to ride. Please stay off the club trails until we get more snow.
There are a few inches of snow on the ground with some marginal riding at higher elevations. There is no base and no grooming being done.
Snow Fest has been postponed to the NO SNOW DATE February 3, 4, & 5.
Have a light dusting of snow this morning with several inches in the forecast but the ground is not frozen and there is no base. The trails are still not rideable.
We are not off to a very good start this year but hopefully things will turn around in the next couple weeks.
We have gotten a little more snow on the grassy areas but still not enough to ride. The snow is limited to the higher elevations only.
I am getting reports of some kids getting some riding in around their own yards but that’s about it. Check out the pictures of some of our younger members tearing it up around the cabin. (http://www.trailconditions.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=19613)
They are talking about a significant storm next week. Hopefully the temps will stay low and it will dump plenty.
Have a Happy and Safe New Year.
Received a dusting of snow to give us a white Christmas but not nearly enough to ride.
With temps predicted to be above freezing during the day for the next week it looks like riding will have to wait till the new year.
Have a Merry Christmas.
Trails are officially open but there is no snow on them.
Please respect our landowners and stay off the trails until there is sufficient snow.
Today is the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day. Take a moment to Honor those who lost their lives.
Only 4 days till the trails officially open. Although the “S” word has finally started to creep into the forecast it doesn’t look like there will be enough snow to ride on opening day.
Please remember to RESPECT our landowners and stay on the marked trails!!

90 tons of stone in place, members of the club were able to finish the alternative trail for Irish Farm Rd. A big thank you to everyone who helped. Now we just need some snow.
Nov. 20, 2011
Members of the club spent the day opening a trail on the East side of Irish Farm Rd. to use as an alternative route when the road is impassable. The trail is about 50-75 percent complete. A few tri-axles of stone are being donated by Seneca Resources to fill in the water holes and make it groomable.
